Terms of Service

AdventureAtlas is operated by Play Force (“we”, “us”, “our”), an Australian business that designs, inspects and maintains play spaces. You can contact us any time at hello@adventureatlas.au.

You need an account to contribute content, check in at places, or create Atlas Passports. You must:

• be at least 18 years old, or use the site under the supervision of a parent or guardian;
• provide accurate information and keep your login details secure; and
• be responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

Atlas Passports for children are created and managed by a parent or guardian. Children do not hold their own accounts.

AdventureAtlas relies on contributions from the community — new places, photos, ratings and check-ins (“your content”). When you submit content:

• you confirm you have the right to share it (for example, you took the photo yourself or have permission to share it);
• you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display and share that content on AdventureAtlas and in materials promoting the service;
• you keep ownership of your content; and
• you agree we may review, edit, decline or remove content at our discretion, including through our moderation process.

Photos of people: do not upload photos that clearly identify other people — especially children — without the consent of that person or their parent or guardian.

When using AdventureAtlas, you must not:

• post content that is false, misleading, offensive, abusive or unlawful;
• submit places that do not exist or deliberately incorrect details;
• upload content that infringes someone else's rights;
• attempt to access other users' accounts or data;
• scrape, copy or republish the site's data at scale without our written permission; or
• interfere with the operation or security of the service.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

AdventureAtlas helps you find real-world play spaces, but the information on the site — including place details, facilities and photos — is largely contributed by the community and may be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate.

• Always assess a play space yourself before letting children use it.
• Children should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
• We do not own, operate or inspect the places listed on AdventureAtlas (unless expressly stated), and listing a place is not an endorsement of its safety or condition.

If you spot a hazard at a play space, please report it to the local council or facility operator, and let us know via the Report an Issue page so we can update the listing.

We provide AdventureAtlas free of charge and work hard to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, reliance on community-contributed information, or your visits to play spaces listed on AdventureAtlas. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the service.

The AdventureAtlas name, logo, design and software are owned by or licensed to Play Force. Apart from your own content and uses permitted by law, you may not reproduce or reuse them without our permission.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we handle it. It forms part of these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as a notice on the site. Continuing to use AdventureAtlas after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
